I just tried the same routine with Spark again, 24 hours after my initial attempts. It still ended with that same strange situation where I was seeing a reduced-size, fully active version of my AT&T home page in the login pane. My attempt with Spark was still not successful. This time, my attempt to add my account to Yahoo Mail was successful. Last night, hours after I posted my first message, I tried again. The problems have resolved themselves without me making any changes to how I attempted to add my AT&T-Yahoo e-mail account to my e-mail apps.įor the record, both Yahoo Mail and Spark Mail work with Oauth, and, except for one instance in which I tried to add my e-mail account manually, that is how I have been trying to add my account to those e-mail clients. So, I am confused and not sure what else to try. However, when I tried adding the account to my Spark mail app, I got the same result as when I tried it on the iPad mini 6. I was totally successful in adding the account to the Yahoo Mail app. I had not previously used the mini 4 for e-mail at all. I have gone through this process both with and without my Yahoo account already added via iOS mail settings.įor the heck of it, I tried adding my AT&T Yahoo e-mail account to my iPad mini 4, also on iOS 15.5. This same result happens when I try to add the account via Spark Mail, which is my customary e-mail app. The advance arrow at the button of the Yahoo Mail app sign-in screen is deactivated only the go-back arrow is active. What I cannot do is complete the process to add my account. I can scroll around the Yahoo web page, use the links, etc., just as if I were viewing it using a web browser. The Yahoo web page appears as a screen-within-a-screen-that is, I am viewing it within the sign-in frame of the Yahoo Mail app. But what I get connected to is the Yahoo website, not a confirmation screen or some kind of screen that would allow me to complete the process of adding the account. I am choosing to add the account through Yahoo's login page, and when I enter my Yahoo credentials, I do get connected to Yahoo. Let's take the Yahoo Mail app as an example. I have been unsuccessful trying to add my AT&T-Yahoo email account to my iPad mini 6, iOS 15.5.
